Hi! I'm Ilana! Sugar and Type is a creative design studio, where I let my imagination
run wild. I focus on letterpress printing, blog design, and branding.

how did you start your business? - I started my business last year, at 22 years old. I
wanted a creative outlet, that would also fulfill my entrepreneurial
spirit. I couldn't find my "dream job" so I started doing what I was
interested in on the side.
what is your favorite part of being a creative business owner? - The best part of being a creative business owner - I'm ALWAYS
learning, and trying new things. Also - I get to do what I love!
what are some plans you have for your business in the future? - I have so many plans for the future - I feel like my head is going to
blow up with all the ideas I have! I hope to add a lot of work to my
portfolio, and I'm really trying to grow my social media presence. I'm a
huge fan of collaborations, so send me an email if you love them too! I
am also going to focus on my blog more, as it's a ton of fun, and helps
to keep my creative juices flowing!

i'm Jacky, the girl behind Petunia Blooms (shop) & The Sweetest
Petunia (blog). I'm a semi-newlywed (we celebrated our 1st anniversary
couple months ago) who loves Jesus, my husband, coffee, creating, and so
much more. My goal is to know my Savior more, to choose happiness in
the little things, and to make something pretty every day. :) Petunia

how did you start your business?
I started sewing consistently a few years ago, trying new things,
learning new skills. I love sharing handmade things with others, and I
always wanted to have a job (even a small job) doing what I loved, so
Petunia Blooms was born.
what is your favorite part of being a creative business owner?
Being able to create! I love choosing fabrics, making plans, stiching away, carefully crafting something beautiful.
do you have any other businesses or hobbies that keep you busy?
I work part-time with my husband, which keeps me busy, and I also
love to read, crochet/knit, send snail mail, spend time with family and
catch up on Instagram (I'm @thesweetpetunia). ;)
